A2 Media Task: To create an Album cover in the style of an existing artist

My artist: Justin Timberlake

Overall, I would say that my design is adequate. I designed it as close as I could to resemble the type of albums artists such as Justin T. or M. Buble would use and I would say it succeeded. It has a succint title and the font is very professional yet not boring, conveying to the buyer that whilst this is a serious album, it is most definitely not boring.  I added the Sony logo as that is typical of many albums of many genres to post the name of their label on the album cover. I chose Sony as they are a big company and would make more sense in hiring the new artist I have created. I added the Parental Advisory logo as again it is a staple of many artists now and it also shows a sense of maturity and edginess. The picture depicts a man in a suit, this being essential considering it is the common attire of the soul/pop/jazz singer and the lack of a face adds some anonymity and a sense of mystery. The background is a stage setting, to show what kind of venues my arttist performs in also. Looking at the final product, I would say that it does it`s job as an album cover, but it isn`t particularly polished and still needs quite a few adjustments. I may also need to pick a clearer background and center the picture and the text more. But as a simple album cover, In would say that it fits the criteria of which I was aiming for.
